The Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia (Antilias, Lebanon) - also called the Patriarchate of Great Cilicia, the Catholicosate of Sis, the Catholicosate of Antelias. It is a regional Hierarchical See of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Recognizes the enthronement and pre-excellency of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. It was founded in Sis, the capital of Cilicia, the former residence of the Armenian Catholicosate, when in 1441 by the decision of the National Church Assembly of Holy Etchmiadzin the Patriarchal Seat was re-established in Holy Etchmiadzin. St. Gregory the Illuminator mother church in Antelias is the seat of the Catholicosate (1941). In 1995, tthe Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia is His Holiness Aram I Keshishyan. The Catholicosate of Cilicia is governed by its bylaws, which was drafted in 1860 according to the principles of the National Constitution.
Under the jurisdiction of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia are the dioceses of Lebanon, Syria, Cyprus, Kuwait and Gulf Arab states. The Catholicosate also formed non-canonical church structures in Greece, USA, Persia, Canada and Venezuela.
The Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem- It was founded in the 7th century. The territory of the Patriarchate (Armenian district) occupies one of the four districts of old Jerusalem (1/6 part - 150 thousand square meters). The Church of St James is the seat of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem. Currently, under the jurisdiction of the Patriarchate are all Armenian churches in Israel and the pastorate of Jordan. The Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem is the spiritual and administrative head of St. James Cathedral as well as the representative of the Armenian community before the political authorities in Jerusalem. The Patriarch is elected by the General Assembly of St. Hakobyants Brotherhood in Jerusalem, to which he is accountable. The election is approved by the Catholicos of All Armenians as well as the Israeli, Palestinian and Jordanian authorities. Since 2013, the Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem is His Beatitude Archbishop Nurhan Manookian.
The Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople - also called the Armenian Patriarchate in Turkey. The Patriarchate of Constantinople was established in 1461. The seat is the Holy Mother of God Church of Gumgapu. The Patriarchate is the main spiritual authority of the Armenian communities in Turkey. Through its activities contributes to the consolidation of the dispersed Armenian communities, the preservation of its national independence, language and culture. The Patriarch carries out the actions arising from his jurisdiction through the Religious Assembly. Since 2019 the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople is His Beatitude Archbishop Sahak Mashalyan.
